To whom it may concern
I have reviewed Frank Carrano’s training materials
and can confirm that the Brett Group will be using
Frank to launch our Behavioural Based Safety
Training package in q4 2006.
I found the support material to be of a high
standard and when I met Frank was impressed by his
humility and passion to prevent injuries.
In my other role as branch vice chair of the south
eastern branch of IOSH I have commissioned Frank to
talk to our branch in November

Working in the construction industry and knowing of the injuries sustained to our workers, I needed to ensure that Frank’s presentation was shown to my employees so that they became fully aware of the consequences that an accident can have not only on them but their life and their family.
A very hard hitting personal passionate presentation and it certainly gets the message home.
I can recommend Frank’s presentation to anyone not only in the Construction industry but further a field as it certainly makes your employees think twice about their safety and the safety of others.

“We engaged Frank to present his story at a “town hall” meeting with staff to help to raise awareness of the hazards which can exist in the workplace and to highlight the personal consequences associated with a serious industrial injury. Frank’s presentation was very well received – he has a serious story to tell but delivered this in a sensitive and thoughtful way. He delivered the key messages clearly and effectively.“

I have known Frank Carrano for approximately four
years now as I was the Safety Advisor at Castle
Cement at the time of his accident.
The impact of the accident on Frank as an individual
was enormous both physically (as you can see from
the pictures) and also psychologically as he came to
terms with the enormity of what had happened to him.
In addition,
it affected a great many of us at the site because
we all liked and respected Frank as an individual.
As a direct result of his accident, Frank was off
work for up to a year and in that time the Company
drew up a set of procedures/measures to ensure that
no job could ever be carried out again without
everyone first considering the safety of the task to
both themselves and those around them.
Frank was a great champion of these new initiatives
at a time when he could have quite easily been
bitter about his experiences.
To demonstrate this, Frank agreed to go around all
the sites within the Castle Group and spread the
message of the human cost of accidents as an
introduction to our IOSH Safety Courses, thereby
combining the legal, economic, but most importantly
the human element of a good health and safety
system.
I would definitely recommend that you invite Frank
into your company and see the impact he can make on
your workforce.

We recently utilised Frank’s services for three
sessions over a two day technical competencies
seminar for our engineering and inspection division.
We asked Frank to be our guest speaker during the
Health and Safety presentation with the intention of
‘livening up’ what in the past had been seen as
rather dull. It certainly had the desired effect
with Frank’s presentations being seen as one of the
high points of the two day seminar! What Frank does
best is come across as a normal man who went to work
one day and didn’t come home at the end thanks to an
accident that could have been so easily avoided.
To this end, I would not hesitate in recommending
Frank to any organisation wishing to impress on its
employees the importance of taking Health and Safety
seriously and the human cost of accidents when they
don’t.

Frank Carrano paints a vivid picture of life following an industrial accident. He tells his story with honesty and emotion and with it comes the realisation of the consequences of not following safe systems of work or the temptation to take a short cut to do that "2 minute job last thing on a Friday".
I would fully recommend frank's presentation to any
other company, the feedback we had from our offshore
workforce was nothing but positive.

To whom it may concern.
After listening to Frank I was impressed by his
simple, factual and 'no frills' approach to his
accident and relating his personal experiences and
the impact it had on himself, family, friends and
work colleagues.
As Chairman of the Hampshire, Health, Safety and
Environmental Group, I consider that all companies
and safety groups would benefit greatly from
listening to Frank's story and the measures taken by
his company in the aftermath of the incident.
The standard of his presentation was high and
delivered with clarity and sincerity. It was
tailored to address the group members present, which
were mostly SHE professionals.
Many thanks Frank and every success in the future

"Frank can give you a powerful and thought provoking
talk & I recommend him to everyone. His message
conveys personal suffering to him and those around
him. He is not there to shock you, but make you
realise safety needs to be considered at all times,
and if you do not keep reassessing the situation
this can lead to a terrible accident which has
devastating effects to individuals and businesses.
Frank can give your event the punch that is
sometimes needed to drive home the safety message to
your employees and contractors."
"The fact that you actually have a person
that has suffered not only physically but mentally
and portrayed the suffering of others went deep.
Reading in the papers, a memo or safety alert does
not go half as deep as the persons actually standing
in front of you explaining how easy it all happened,
in fact it almost happens nonchalantly. I recommend
Frank to help raise awareness of the consequences of
a serious accident in your business"
